Catching up on some pictures from earlier this year, a trip I took to Seward Resort. Took over 200 pics just on the drive down there (hence all the Alaska at 60 MPH pics coming in).

After that, I'll probably have a lot of stuff from even longer ago. I wasn't very good at keeping this up. :/

When I see a comment from a new person I try and visit their page. You had mentioned (on my Quad Bulge how to) using a grid for your knot work and I wanted to check out some of your work. Upon finding Two Windows I noticed 2 things; first it was uploaded in 2004 so you had been a deviant for twice as long as I and second, ~commiealex invited you to join #TheKnotters himself! I'm pretty certain he was one of, if not THE, founder of The Knotters. I found them soon after I joined three years ago but I didn't expect the group has that much history.

Anyway your style is very similar to mine, which I don't see often, and it is a relief. Did you learn knot work from a book? Do you remember the name of it? I dare say it's the same as what I learned from but I gave it to a friend 10 years ago and have forgotten the name.

And :+devwatch: since you've got some great knots and have stuck with dA for 60% of it's life. :)

I honestly no longer remember exactly where I learned to start using graph paper specifically, but I do recall that this was one of the first places I learned from:

I've learned to adopt a lot of the "dot" methods to graph paper, as it is very painful to draw a page of dots, but quite easy to sketch out a quick grid.

Yes, the Knotters have been around for a while, and several admin changes. I haven't been terribly active (mostly on account of not feeling very confident of how to turn my "doodles" into more polished pieces with color - see how much is in my scraps) but I have definitely followed things.

Many thanks for the watch and fav! :)
